A graduate of the University of Detroit Law School, Kathleen received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and has studied applied ethics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. Having lived in multiple countries and communities, Ms. Svoboda is sensitive to cultural traditions of her clients and concerned about their wellbeing.
Valuing professional development, Kathleen completed the requirements of Michigan’s Institute of Continuing Legal Education Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program, and has participated in numerous conferences and seminars throughout her career embracing opportunities for continued education and updates in the firm's practice areas.
Community service commitments are also very important as reflected in her past and current roles as Trustee for governing boards of a variety of non- profit organizations. Professional associations include the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Irish American Lawyers Association, and The Catholic Lawyers Association. Kathleen is licensed to practice in Michigan Courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
